We have a cobra roll! (2/21/12 Update)

The three (or six, depending on who you ask) inversions are now complete on Goliath! In the picture we recieved today we can now see the completed cobra roll! Now, all that is left to finish are the two vertical spike lift towers and the heavy construction will be all set.

Over the weekend several news sources were at the park for Six Flags New England's annual job fair. Masslive and NECN took the chance to check out Goliath from inside the park. The two pictures below were taken from their articles.

Now... for the other set of news.

The Masslive article mentioned that Big Ben's BBQ will now be known as JB's Smokehouse BBQ. JB's is another in house food option that other Six Flags parks have been getting over the last few years. Most recently, one was added to Six Flags Magic Mountain. From the reviews we've read, the food sounds like it will be decent. Another perk about JB's BBQ is that it will be the first restaurant at Six Flags New England with a wait staff. No word on if you actually place your order at the table like regular restaurants or if you order the food at the counter and get a number so that the wait staff can find you later. We will most definitely hear more about this at The Great Nor'Easter event.

In our Ultimate Guide to Goliath, the blueprints show that Big Ben's BBQ is set to receive expanded seating. This is most likely due to the fact that they are bringing in a wait staff for the transformation into JB's. In the Masslive article they said that construction workers were just finishing up construction on JB's BBQ, so that is another thing done on the list of improvements the park is making.
You learn more about JB's Smokehouse BBQ on The Coaster Guy's website

The Masslive article also briefly touched on Six Flags New England's 2012 entertainment line up. We won't discuss entertainment in this post as this is more of a construction update. Click here to read about 2012 entertainment.

As always, you can discuss this construction update in our Goliath discussion thread
